LOOPED SO CALLED DOLLARS Below are unlisted so called dollars that I have only found looped or with the loop(s) removed - either a single loop, two rabbit ear loops, a fob loop, or sometimes even clamped on loops that leave small indentations next to the rim. I put this list together to help me identify removed loops where close inspection of the edge could not be done. Personally I do not usually collect pieces with removed loops or with missing hanger/pin attachments(an incomplete collectible?). It is unfortunate that hangers and loops are sometimes removed, although with some fobbed pieces a missing attachment such as an old leather strap is usually just as well. This is by no means a complete list, and it is possible that some were also made un-looped. Many of my descriptions are not complete having been taken from incomplete descriptions in old catalogs. Rarity descriptions for individual pieces are not included. Diameters may not be precise. Also, there are of course considerable numbers of award medals, military medals, and strictly fraternal medals that often have loops and attachments, but usually none of these categories are considered to be traditional so called dollars, so none are included here. This list does not include pieces that are maybe only found holed. They are obviously easy to spot without close inspection. This list has not been checked for errors, and I might improve on it as time passes. Looped #1) Seated female figure with industrial scenes behind, all within inner circle.
